Fodor’s Review

People call it “Hota Bay” (it’s how you pronounce the letters “j” and “b” in Spanish), and it’s the best club in town for salsa, latin and tango. The crowd varies, but tends toward the thirties to forties age group and because J&B is serious about dancing, it feels young at heart. There’s usually a band Friday and Saturday nights and DJs the rest of the week. Those with dos patas zurdas (two left feet) can attend salsa lessons Thursday (50 pesos) or take tango lessons for the same price on Fridays at 8-10 pm. Every Wednesday 8-10 pm you can tango your heart out to the very best Tango Music of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Don’t forget your dance shoes.
