Jose Vasquez "Lampazo" at Stanford
The late Jose Vasquez "Lampazo" was considered one of the greats of the old guard milongueros. His style was classic "salon". Unfortunately very few of the famous milongueros of the 40’s remain with us today so we can feel doubly blessed to have had him at Stanford tango week and to have captured, on video, a substantial collection of his most admired steps in both tango and milonga. This video is a collector’s item as, to our knowledge it is the only one ever made of this great dancers milonga and tango. This video is a must for any student interested in the "caminata" or walking style of the 30’s and 40’s.
